P150 Support

Welcome to the P120 support pages. Here you will find commonly requested files such as game configurations and the latest software and answers to commonly asked questions to help you get the most out of your P120

Q1: I did not receive a driver disk with my pad - should I have received one?

A1: The P120 is set up using generic drivers from the list in Game Controllers/Gaming Options, as indicated in the instructions that came with the pad. However, if you would like a specific driver then there is one available from the downloads page.

Q2: Using the generic driver I can't get the shoulder buttons to assign to anything in my games. Why is this?

A2: When you are using the generic driver the shoulder buttons become two halves of an axis - some games won't allow you to assign these to button-type commands. Download the driver for the pad from our downloads page and this will enable the shoulder buttons as actual buttons and you should then be able to reassign them in your games.

Q3: My Controller isn't working in my game, why is this?
or

My controller is not performing correctly in my game, what's happening?

A3: The first thing to check if the controller isn't working in the game is whether it is working in Game Controllers/Gaming Options in Control Panel. You can do this following the instructions in the General FAQ. If it is working okay in there then we know the controller is okay and problem has to do with the game itself.

First, make sure that the game actually supports game controllers, because some PC games just don't (if you're unsure you should contact the game publisher for more info on this).

Secondly, make sure you have correctly enabled the controller in the game's control options screen - most games have an options screen where you have to set up the controls - if this is a little unclear to you then the best people to contact this are, again, the publisher of the game as they will be more familiar with the game's inner workings.

Thirdly, the game may well need an update to correct an existing problem that the game may have shipped with. Always check the game's website to see if there are any updates for it (typically called Patches).

Windows 2000/XP
The P120 will only function using the generic 3 axis 4 button joystick driver under Windows 2000 and XP - the driver download from the downloads page is only for Windows 95, 98 and ME.
