Welcome to the iFreedom A-250 wireless speaker support pages. Here you will find answers to commonly asked questions to help you get the most out of your iFreedom A-250 wireless speaker .
Q1: I have plugged the A-250’s wireless transmitter into my PC but no sound is coming from my speaker and I do not have the OK message on the LCD screen. What's wrong?
A1: First, check that you have activated the wireless transmitter by pressing the blue disc in its centre until it starts flashing. When the transmitter has started flashing, press the “on” button on the A-250 speaker. After a couple of seconds the transmitter and speakers unit will recognise each other - the blue disc on the transmitter will remain lit and the speaker’s LCD screen should read “OK”.
If there is still no sound from the speaker check that your PC’s sound settings are correctly configured. Click Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control to bring the Windows Volume Control Panel up onscreen. Make sure that both the Main volume and the Wave volume settings are at maximum and that they are not muted.
Finally, ensure that the volume setting on the speaker is not at 0.

Q6 :Why don’t the Previous Track/Next Track buttons on my speaker work?
A6: This could be due to the following:
1. You are not using the latest media player software:
Check to make sure you have the latest version of the media player software you are using and, if necessary, install a more recent version.
2. You are using the Win amp media player:
If you are using Win amp with the A-250 Speaker System, open the Win amp application and go to Options, Preferences (CTRL+P), click Global Hotkeys on the left menu, and check the Enabled box. The Play/Pause, Previous track and Next track controls on the A-250 will now control the Win amp music files.
3. Your PC does not have the correct media key components installed:
On some pre-installed Windows XP PC’s the manufacturer has not installed all the components to make the extended media keys function. Please contact your system builder for more information on rectifying this.
