Aviator Programming (Mode switch Explained)

 

The Aviator has a mode switch which has Off, A and B (think of the off mode as unshifted in the programming software)

 

The 4 toggle switches have 2 DirectX buttons each, giving you 8 DirectX buttons (or 24 in the programming software due to 3 modes).

 

The stick has a total of 12 DirectX buttons and 4 Axis

 

In (for example) Flight Simulator it will detect the 12 buttons - as games only detect DirectX buttons.  If you want to you can program the buttons with commands in the programming software in the different modes, to enable more actions in the game.

 

Follow the SST manual in the help section of the Programming Software to add commands to buttons.

 

It is probably easier to program in Data View as you can see all 3 modes at the same time then
