EDI SPECIALIST

 

Mad Catz Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc., a worldwide leader of innovative peripherals in the interactive entertainment industry, are seeking energetic, outgoing professionals who value teamwork, creativity and a fast-paced work environment. We are currently seeking an EDI Specialist to be based in either our Milton Keynes or Bristol office.
The EDI Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, communicating and supporting the Company’s European Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requirements and systems. This position is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed primarily for Europe and also assist with upkeep for Asia to consolidate global coverage.


The role will be involved in the creation of user accounts, system security, report writing, and other daily system functions. Additionally the successful candidate will also be involved in cross departmental process improvements requiring systems and business analysis skills.
The EDI Specialist is an integral part of the IT team and works with end users and trading partners to support all business, technical, and functional needs relating to EDI and other applications needs. Other responsibilities include assisting the Application Analyst with maintenance of the Great Plains system and the related business and technology systems that interact with it, i.e. vSync, In-Touch, and Demand Planner. As a team player, this position will provide general IT support needs as necessary.

Responsibilities
•Conduct needs analysis studies, software installation and testing, scheduling, training, conversion, compiling client requirements, writing specifications, and providing on-going phone and on-site customer support.


•Develop and manage inbound and outbound transactions, daily reconciliation/troubleshooting of all transaction sets, set-up new EDI communications and maintain existing EDI communications, and code back-end systems integrations processes.


•Monitor and document EDI processes, and participate in process improvements by providing innovative ideas to increase customer service, enhance accuracy, and elevate productivity.


•Assist with general IT support needs and other duties as assigned.


Requirements
•Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred.


•Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains


•Knowledge of both the US and UK(Tradacom) standards


•2+ years professional experience with E-Commerce, EDI, and CRM Software in Accounting, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Service environments.


•In-depth knowledge of SQL Server scripting with experience in EDI concepts and transactions.Understanding of EDI and its workflow from trading partner to VAN to vSync is critical; multi-site Warehousing/Distribution/Transportation experience a plus.


•Solid understanding of general financial principles with baseline knowledge of process

schedules and requirements for public company reporting along with the technical knowledge required to maintain systems is required.


•Ability to recognize problems and implement solid systems solutions.


•Must be customer focused with a strong sense of urgency.  Frequent interaction with users in all departments requires outstanding communication, presentation, administration, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.


•Able to perform as an effective contributor in a team oriented environment and accomplish desired results while working with minimal supervision.
